Digitally Managing Your POD Operations

Points of Dispensing (PODs) are community locations in which state and local agencies dispense medication to the public during a public health emergency. Based on current available guidance, the COVID-19 vaccinations will be distributed in a phased approach. Early phases will likely leverage systems that are already in place or being developed for screening and supply chain, but other aspects of PODs such as staffing and throughput management will not likely be included in those systems. Later phases of vaccination will likely increase the tracking and reporting burden.
