The Role: Where Design Meets Code

As a Design Technologist, you’ll be engineering the foundation of our user experience. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Design, you will serve as the bridge between creative vision and technical execution. You will closely collaborate with our engineering teams to ensure that our front-end is as resilient and scalable as our mission.

What You’ll Do

Own and evolve Veoci’s Design System — the shared language between design and engineering. You’ll build and maintain the component library, write production-ready Vue.js code, and work directly with developers to ship interfaces that are consistent, accessible, and fast. You’ll use AI-powered tools to move quickly without sacrificing quality, and you’ll validate decisions through user research and usability testing. You’ll be an evangelist for design system usage and consistency across the org.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in frontend development with a focus on design systems
  • Strong Vue.js skills (React/Angular experience transfers)
  • Hands-on experience building and scaling component libraries with tools like Storybook
  • Fluency in Figma as a collaboration tool, not just a viewer
  • Comfortable using AI development tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) as part of your daily workflow
  • A feel for web performance — you care about load times, bundle size, and responsiveness across devices
  • A portfolio or body of work that shows strong visual taste and attention to craft in UI design

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating AI tooling into team-wide development workflows
  • Background working on enterprise or B2B product design systems
  • Familiarity with motion design and CSS/JS animation for interaction and transition work

Physical Requirements & Compensation

Veoci offers remote work flexibility. The wage range for this role is $80,000-$120,000 plus benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
