Connecticut Digital City Open House – Stamford’s FixIt System

Veoci Digital City Open House.

Janeene Freeman, Special Assistant to the Mayor, Director of Partnerships and Community Engagement, and Cynthia Hernandez, Customer Service Representative from the City of Stamford, shared their experience transitioning to the new Veoci FixIt system. The upgrade significantly improved request tracking and response times, notably cutting pothole repair from seven days to just two. They emphasized how the system integrates with 15 departments and three utility companies, boosting efficiency and transparency.

Additionally, they spoke about how the public dashboard is a standout feature, allowing residents to track their requests and leading to a 50% drop in phone inquiries. With 4,676 registered users, there are currently 350 open requests and around 150 calls coming in each week.

Hernandez and Freeman also highlighted the importance of community engagement sessions and departmental retraining in ensuring a smooth adoption process. These efforts have helped build trust with residents and enhance overall satisfaction.
